Pygmalion

Written by George Bernard Shaw | Directed by Steve Saul

On a rainy London night, a chance encounter brings together two wildly different worlds. Henry Higgins, a brilliant but cynical linguist, boasts that he can peel back the layers of a rigid social hierarchy simply by rewriting how a person speaks. He makes a wager to pass off Eliza Doolittle, a working-class street vendor, as nobility at an elite embassy ball.

What begins as a cold scientific experiment quickly evolves into a spirited, unpredictable clash of wills. As Eliza undergoes a grueling transformation into a refined lady of high culture, she discovers her true self-worth and challenges the very society she was trained to deceive. Masterfully balancing biting satire with humane comedy, George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion remains a provocative look at love, power, and personal autonomy.
